The Temple of Marquis is a temple for commemorating Zhuge Liang, the Shu premier in the period of the Three Kingdoms. It is a prestigious memorial site for Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, other heroes in the Shu kingdom, and also for the cultural relics museum for the Three Kingdoms. Expressing the theme combined with Confucius culture as well as military culture, it is renowned as the holy land of the Three Kingdoms both at home and abroad.
Jinli, known as “the first street in west Shu”, emerged from the Qin and Han Dynasty, and was one of the most ancient and commercially active streets in the history of west Shu. Nowadays, closely bordering the east side of Temple of Marquis, Jinli is the essence of original relics. Taking the essence of the Qin and Han Dynasties plus the representation of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, combined with modern culture and recreation, Jinli not only expands the impact of the Three Kingdoms, but also ingests vitality into the ancient temple.
